has a newly created, immediate vacancy - reporting to the Purchasing Manager
Responsibilities:
#1 Ensuring that inventory levels are sufficient to meet production needs by:
Monitoring inventory levels & usage patterns so inventory is maintained at optimal levels Developing & implementing inventory control procedures to ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels & transactions Performing ongoing physical inventory counts & reconciling discrepancies Maintaining relationships with vendors & suppliers to ensure timely & accurate delivery of goods #2 Minimizing inventory holding costs & obsolescence by:
Identifying opportunities for process improvement & cost savings within inventory management #3 Maintaining accurate inventory records for raw materials & supplies by:
Preparing inventory reports & analysis including inventory turnover, stock-out rates & obsolete inventory levels Working closely with the Production & Accounting departments & the Purchasing Buyers to reconcile inventory records & identify discrepancies Ensuring compliance with all inventory-related regulatory requirements Experience, Education & Competency Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in inventory management or a related field such as cost accounting or production planning Experience with inventory management software & systems Bachelor's degree - business administration, supply chain management, or related field Analytical skills, detail-oriented & highly organized Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to inventory management, such as SOX - preferred Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$65,000.
