Logistics Analyst

Position Description The Logistics Analyst (LA) shall define governmental requirements and perform research using purchase descriptions, Military, Federal or standard commercial or manufacturer specifications.
HM may only be available from a limited number of suppliers; therefore, an understanding of technical requirements and the capability of the industrial base is critical when developing purchase requirements.
This also includes an understanding of the needs of the customer base.
The Logistics Analyst shall perform market research, identifies potential vendors and initiates purchasing actions for critical item purchases to prevent work stoppages and unforeseen zero balance inventory balances.
The Logistic Analyst shall assist customers with developing sole source justifications.
The LA builds on experience and anticipates customer needs in advance in order to support the customer's schedule.
Confers with the customer to refine requirements or to discuss deliveries.
Frequently coordinates with technical or quality personnel to ensure vendor compliance with the item description.
Monitors and reports daily productivity and program metrics.
Requires knowledge of HM product lines, procurement specifications, sources of supply, and market research techniques to determine market conditions and Government sources of supply and modes of transportation used for shipments to locations in the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Interpret HM data, such as availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing or distribution, supplier management, or transportation.
Provide ongoing analyses on transportation costs, HM procurement, back orders, or delivery processes.
Prepare operational reports on logistics performance measures.
Confer with logistics management team to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, or minimize cost.
Maintain exceptional working knowledge of EESOH-MIS and CMIS including but not limited to computer navigation and applicable work-related applications, report generation e.
g.
inventory management, status of orders, materials in storage.
Track HM flow from origin to final delivery.
Develop and maintain models for logistics effectiveness, such as cost estimating or demand forecasting.
Monitor inventory transactions at warehouse facilities to assess receiving, storage, shipping, and inventory integrity.
Calculate metrics, such as on-time delivery rates, order fulfillment rates, and inventory turns.
Assist in the development and implementation of internal procedures and policies, and internal training.
Reviews new and current local, state, and Federal regulations related to chemical and waste management across the site.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
Performs inspections to ensure compliance with all Federal and local regulations.

Position Requirements Must be a Citizen of the United States.
Must always maintain a valid state driver's license and a clean driving record.
Must pass criminal and financial background check prior to hire and must be able to pass and sustain the DLA PSI background check criteria during the entire duration of their employment.
Minimum of five years' experience working in a HM Center, HM Pharmacy, or equivalent operation.
Minimum of five years of experience in the field of CMS and supply chain management.
Three years' experience using a HM tracking system equivalent to EESOH-MIS.
Must possess exceptional leadership, interpersonal, organization and communication skills.
Must present a neat and professional appearance IAW company policy and consistent with the workplace environment.
Requires knowledge of HM/HW processes, packaging, manifesting, and collection/temporary storage procedures.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations requirements related to chemical management.
RCRA, CVI and DOT certifications or the ability to obtain.
A valid State driver's license and skill in safely operating forklift.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
