Physician / Surgery - Trauma / Florida / Permanent / Trauma Medical Director needed in Jacksonville/Orange Park, FL (SA198046) Job
This large medical center in Jacksonville/Orange Park, FL is seeking a Trauma Medical Director to lead a dynamic trauma and acute care surgery team in the only trauma center in Clay County.
The Hospital is a Florida Department of Health Level II trauma center and is pursuing Level II verification by the American College of Surgeons.
Qualified Candidates:
Must be board certified in General Surgery with Added Qualifications in Surgical Critical Care.
Be a current ATLS instructor Have previous Trauma Medical Director (Associate or Full) experience with state and regional exposureBe committed to impactful performance improvementDemonstrate leadership and teamwork skillsTMD has authority to lead the trauma program and acute care surgery service.
Duties are organized around 12-hour primary in-house coverage, plus 12-hour back-up.
The acute care surgery team has six advanced practice professionals.
General surgery residents rotate on the service.
The program participates in TQIP and TQIP collaboratives.
