Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, performs general secretary duties including typing of notices, awards, orders and other documents with a high degree of accuracy; maintains assigned case files and diary systems; schedules evidentiary hearings; inputs statistical data; communicates with case parties and the general public in a service-oriented, friendly, and professional manner; screens and processes telephone calls (heavy volume) and written communications; manages multiple tasks, performs other duties to assist the administrative law judge, and others as assigned; performs all tasks and duties in a fast, efficient, and timely manner.
Minimum Training &
Experience:
2-5 years legal assistant/secretary experience, preferably Workers' Compensation; Organized, detail oriented & self-motivated; Heavy case management experience; Excellent written & verbal skills; Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills, including ease communicating with co-workers; Must be a customer service-oriented individual, including ease with communicating with the public in person, electronically, and on the telephone.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
