GENERAL POSITION
Summary:
This position reports to the Store Manager and works closely with the Assistant Store Manager.
AOM will also have management responsibilities of Operations Lead and/or Operations Specialist.
The role is an integral part of the Store Management Team charged with facilitating, coordinating, training, and maintaining our store inventory management system and store operational processes.
Key player in driving process management, adhering to guidelines and development of process to ensure products are received efficiently and correctly.
And the role is an advocate on behalf of the store to identify & fix discrepancies with the company Operations Department in a timely manner.
It is imperative the AOM drives the full cycle of the inventory & operational management process to ensure store profitability and minimize inventory shrink.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR
Responsibilities:
Manage, coordinate & maintain inventory flow and store operational excellence through utilizing the below guidelines.
INVENTORY - Receive Transfers with efficient speed to support store team getting products to floor.
Receiving Product:
enter product into Celerant POS system check current inventory for discrepancies Improve communication channel with DC for Transfers to prep receiving Follow-up daily on discrepancies with individuals and team Run gridlines to reconcile any inconsistencies within inventory work closely with Inventory Control Manager Perform Reticketing Perform Weekly Cycle Counts Formal periodic physical inventory count process Vendor Direct Shipments/Invoices reconcile Perform DTPs Establish a Store Audit Program & execute weeklyContinue retraining for all employees refreshersCommunicate new product offers to store staffOPERATIONS - Communicate product flow from back of house to floor with MOD Improve communication channel with Merchant Team for product prioritization Backroom organization/management Markdown management Barcode management Monitor use of XT Scans & reconcile Improve inbound visibility through our logistics partners/reporting Monitor DC production to influence workflow (weekly reporting) Monitor & manage all store supplies Manage all IT challenges & updates INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS:
Position requires effective communication with multiple departments within the company (Store Team, District Management, Operations, Merchants, etc.
) to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.
Crucial to develop a strong partnership with these departments and teams within to align and deliver best in class service.
Interactions tend to focus on information exchange, problem solving, or responding to business needs.
Qualifications Must have strong computer, analytical skills, and high-level understanding of inventory management.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and Celerant POS preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task with varying deadlines Self-motivated and results oriented.
Works independently.
Problem solving & troubleshooting capabilities.
Process & procedure oriented.
Physical ability to use telephone, computer hardware/software including keyboard, type, sit, and stand for extended periods of time, and occasionally lifting/carry up to 40lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.
