The full continuum of River Edge Behavioral Health services provides state-of-the-art treatment and support services for more than 13,000 children, youth, families, and adults annually, who experience mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders, or developmental disabilities.
River Edge is currently looking for a Food Service Worker to prepare meals for clients at our large commercial kitchen.
The ideal candidate will have a consistent work history in a large food service kitchen and the ability to work well with a team preparing and serving over 500 meals a day.
Under the general supervision of the Food Service Manager this position plans, prepares, cooks, and serves meals to students, clients, and staff in a cafeteria setting.
Will perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Location/Schedule:
LifeSPRING kitchen; Monday -Friday 7:
00 am-3:
00 pm OR 9:
00 am-5:
00 pm.
This position requires working all Holidays and one weekend per month (Saturday & Sunday).
Full-time position with benefits.
Qualifications:
Demonstrate excellent customer service with a positive demeanor when dealing with clients.
Adhere to food safety standards at all times, making sure that all food is free of contaminants and pathogens that might make clients sick.
Clean pots, pans, and any other dishes in the kitchen as needed, adhering to safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Fully COVID vaccinated.
High School Diploma.
Reasonable computer skills (time clock, email).
Kitchen/food service experience is optional but helpful.
Agrees without reservation to work schedule and maintains good attendance and punctuality.
All applicants must pass a satisfactory background clearance and pre-employment drug test.
