Diamond Plastics Corporation has an immediate opening for a Shipping Warehouse position.
This position is responsible for all aspects of material handling and safe operation of material handling equipment.
Core Essential Functions include the following:
Operate material handling equipment to load and unload product in an efficient and safe manner.
Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
Accurately load and unload product, using forklifts.
Ensure that bundle and band material still meets inspection.
Check product for visual properties or damage prior to shipment leaving.
Ensure that all shipments are correctly loaded and stable.
Record numbers of units handled and moved, using pick list.
Move stock, and other materials to and from yard and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or using forklifts and other equipment.
Rebundle product as necessary.
Assist with inventory counting and reporting.
Assist with receiving inventory.
Carry out general yard duties such as cleaning up debris/scrap, maintenance up keep of the yard and/or equipment, and maintaining efficiency of the stock inventory in the yard.
Perform daily routine maintenance checks on loading equipment.
Reliable attendance.
Other tasks as assigned.
Experience and Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to read, comprehend and speak basic English.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work 8-hour shifts.
Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.
