LOCAL STRAIGHT TRUCK DELIVERY DRIVER

Scope:
This position is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of our products to customers. Drivers are responsible for ensuring that vehicles are operated in a safe manner and in compliance with all Copaco, Inc. procedures and all applicable laws. Drivers will also be responsible for assisting warehouse workers with pulling and maintaining inventory as instructed.
Responsibilities of this position include thefollowing:
Assists with loading truck.
Make deliveries of various items to our customers in the surrounding area.
Usually within approximately 100 mile radius.
Responsible to ensure accuracy of the order and unload the order for the customer.
Responsible to ensure that shipping papers are signed by the appropriate contact at the customer's site and returned to the Warehouse Manager.
Collect Cash On Delivery (COD) money when necessary and return to Accounts Receivable.
Drivers will assist warehouse with pulling orders for the next business day.
Housekeeping of truck and warehouse
Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager and/or Shipping Manager.
Job Requirements:
Must be reliable, have professional attitude and maintain a customer service focus at all times
Preferred CDL A in Columbus, GA, Mandatory Class Bin Montgomery, AL, Class C in Macon, Georgia
DOT physical required; Must maintain acceptable driving record (MVR)
Must have valid Drivers License
Must be able to work 7am-3:30pm unless otherwise instructed by Management.
Hours of work will depend on daily work schedule.
One-year previous driving/inventory experience preferred
High School Graduate or equivalent preferred
Physical Requirements:
Successful Candidate must be able to:
Climb, Balance, Stoop, Kneel, Crouch, Reach, Handle, Feel, Bend, Sit, Stand and Point. Incumbent will have to push/pull up to 100 lbs occasionally and lift up to 50 lbs frequently. 30 minute unpaid lunch breaks are provided. Work environment exposure to hot, cold, dusty and hazardous conditions.
