PROJECT LENGTH
This is a permanenet, full-time position
JOB DUTIES
Perform monthly maintenance on microwave sites:
Check and log microwave radio monthly information
Check and log base station (VHF)
Check data base radios (track control)
Check generator operation
Check site voltages (commercial and DC created in site)
Verify alarms and correct operation with control center
Verify that local mux is working properly
Keep site clean inside--- mopping , dusting, etc
Make building repairs as needed
Keep site exterior clean and weeds controlled
On-call duties after training:
Be on-call for troubles---four (4) hour response to site--two weeks per month, including weekends and holidays
Respond to customer equipment outages--traffic effecting, etc---24/7
REQUIREMENTS
FCC license, will have 6 months from hire to obtain license
Two year degree / military school / equivalent
Be able to lift 75 pounds
Computer literate
Maintain vehicle and test equipment
Work with NS employees--be able to work with EF&I and NS without issues
Understand basic electronics--ac/dc, ohms law, relays, terminations, understand systems
Be able to learn microwave and two-way technology
Understand decibel measurement and all its uses; test equipment that uses such
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
All offers of employment are contingent on succesful completion of pre-employment screening to include backgroud, drug screen, references and driving record
Must have valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance
Company truck provided
OJT for customer-specific systems
