Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
International cereal manufacturer is seeking an industrial maintenance mechanic in the Macon, Georgia plant. The plant equipment includes packaging equipment, industrial ovens, steam cookers, flaking mills, coating systems, conveyors and boilers. As we are a 24 hour operation, this job requires availability on off shifts and weekends.
This position is responsible for the installation and wiring of equipment, motors and electrical control panels, terminating motors and devices, repairing/adjusting equipment, troubleshooting problems making mechanical repairs, performing PM and installing new machinery and overhauling equipment, including rebuilding and fabricating parts.
The position requires the ability to bend conduit, pull wire, terminate connections, troubleshoot and repair components and the ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical and hydrolic blueprints, schematics and engineering documents.
Experience in a food plant and knowledge of GMPs is a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
