Supplier Quality Engineer

A Tier One Automotive facility is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer. Must have advanced problem solving skills, 8d's, 5 why's, and fish bone diagrams. Must be strong with TS16949. Supervision experience is a plus and any kind of metal working is preferred.
Seeking a quality professional who demonstrates a strong ability to understand and communicate plans and instructions, relating to the Quality objectives of the team. Monitors the process documentation, generates documents, coordinates projects and works with suppliers and customers to maintain day-to-day operations.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Acts as a team member with procurement to engage suppliers to enable them to be successful.
o Applies modern quality principles, concepts, and methods to aerospace and manufacturing operation, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
o Interprets engineering drawings and specifications, customer quality requirements, and company quality requirements to ensure compliance with the customer's expectations.
o Prepares comprehensive analyses, procedures, reports and presentations for customer/supplier review throughout the evaluation process.
o Requires strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively establish positive working relationships with various operational groups, all levels of employees, suppliers, and customers.
o Developing and improving system and process performance feedback using trend, Pareto and other quality tools.
o Leading cross-functional teams in solving chronic system problems/product nonconformances.
o Providing a customer interface with respect to quality issues.
o Performing verification and validation of new designs using 1st articles, capability studies, DFMEA and PFMEA to ensure compliance to customer requirements and product standards.
o Providing technical direction to Internal Auditors to verify compliance of our client's requirements.
o Developing advanced quality planning with respect to customer requirements.
o Ensuring compliance with quality requirements in new product development meetings.
o Supporting the development of test fixtures, inspection fixtures, and determination of gaging needs.
o Supporting internal audit requirements in accordance with our client's procedures.
o Developing and maintaining quality work instructions and procedures.
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
Qualified Applicants will have:
o Five years' related quality engineering working with quality systems and tools.
o ISO9000/AS9100 quality systems.
o Working knowledge of Six Sigma
o Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word and other Office Products and ability to learn other software as needed, including Visual Manufacturing
o Metal forming experience
o Meets ITAR requirements US Person (including US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien)
Full benefits package and some relocation assistance available. Salary will range between $70,000 and $80,000 per year.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
